![]() Make sure you wear shoes with good traction! Can’t believe how many people were doing this hike with their kids but I’m always amazed by how brave hikers can be when they want to see a summit. Once we reached the hike, it was incredibly crowded and there were a lot of sections where you are literally just climbing up the side of giant boulders hoping you don’t slip and slide all the way down. Parking is $5 I think but if you have an annual national park pass you can just put your park pass in your windshield and that serves as your paid parking.Ĭathedral Rock hike: I didn’t really know what to expect from this hike I had simply research best hikes in Sedona and this one came up as an easy 1.1 mile out and back hike. Quick note – if you are using google maps, make sure you type in “Cathedral Rock Trailhead” and NOT “Cathedral Rock Trail” as this will take you to a neighborhood 5 minutes away from the trailhead. ![]() We landed in Phoenix around noon on Friday and decided to stop in Sedona along the way to do a quick hike at Cathedral Rock. ![]() You can also fly into Flagstaff (2 hour drive) or Page Municipal Airport. Plus I had seen all the amazing pictures from friends of these places so it looked like a perfect weekend trip before the conference started. I decided to check out Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend since I had a work conference in Phoenix which is about a 4 hour drive from Page, Arizona.
